Project Asia Service (PAS) Purchase Autoship’s Stowage Planning System
Autoship Systems Corporation (ASC) of Vancouver, Canada is pleased to announce the sale of SPS™ (Stowage Planning System) to Project Asia Service, a division of AAL Shipping Agencies. The system is for their fleet of four D-Class Superflex 800 Heavy MPC vessels: m/v Cape Donington, m/v Cape Darnley, m/v Cape Delgado and m/v Cape Delfaro.

SPS is a state-of-the-art cargo management system. It is based on the total voyage concept, in which the impact of any single change is automatically checked against existing plans for every other port. Containers and break bulk cargo are stowed in a graphical user interface. The system’s EDI (electronic data interface) enables ship planners to have real time cargo booking information. Included as a module in SPS is Autoload®, our DNV and Lloyd’s type approved hydrostatic engine.

For PAS, key SPS features include the EDI capability and the graphical stowage planning. These features will result in effective cargo tracking and efficient utilization of the ship's carrying capacity. The seamless link between SPS and PAS' in-house ShipNet Information System will allow the ship planners to electronically import up-to-date booking information into the SPS working environment. In SPS, they will then graphically develop the stowage plans, while at the same time use Autoload to consider the vessel's stability.
