Autoload Outfitted Across Edison Chouest Fleet
Autoship Systems Corporation (ASC) of Vancouver, Canada is pleased to announce that Edison Chouest Offshore (ECO) of Louisiana, USA has successfully completed the installation of the Autoload onboard stability program on over 90 Offshore Support Vessels (OSV) in their fleet.

Edison Chouest’s OSVs operate in demanding sea conditions servicing off-shore platforms in regions such as Africa, Alaska, Gulf of Mexico, Brazil, and the North Sea. Autoload assists the Captains by providing real-time stability assessment of these vessels through the monitoring of tank levels, vessel trim, vessel heel, and accounting for weights when equipment is being transported to and from the platforms.

Many of the Chouest vessels are outfitted with cranes that perform heavy-lift tasks. Autoload’s Crane Module allows the Captain to simulate the lift while the vessel’s floating condition, stability and strength are updated in real-time. The Crane Module takes into account the center of gravity of each crane, including weight of wire being paid out, and the buoyancy of a load when partially submerged.
