National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia Awards Load Planning Software Contract to Autoship Systems

Autoship Systems Corporation (ASC) is pleased to announce the signing of a contract with the National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (NSCSA) for the delivery of Autoload®-SPS - an integrated ship stowage planning and stability assessment system for NSCSA's fleet of RoRo vessels.

Autoload-SPS (Ship Planning System) will be installed onboard the vessels and in NSCSA's offices, including its North American regional center in Baltimore, and other sites in Houston, Dubai, Bombay, Livorno and Riyadh.

NSCSA owns and operates a fleet of four Ro-Ro ships deployed between the Arabian Gulf-Indian Subcontinent, Red Sea-Mediterranean and the US/Canada East Coast route on a 21-day frequency. These vessels are capable of carrying containers, roll-on roll-off machinery, break bulk, project and specialized cargoes.

Autoload-SPS is a state-of-the-art graphical stowage planning software integrated with a first principles hydrostatic engine and features a seamless link to the company's centralized cargo-booking database. The program was evaluated by Capt. Ahmed Khan, NSCSA's Operations Manager and approved by the Board of Directors in fall of 2006. Full implementation will take place in early 2007.

Autoload-SPS will facilitate the expedient planning and loading of each of NSCSA's vessels by optimizing the utilization of the ship's cargo capacity, improving coordination between regional offices and terminals and will help ensure the safety of the vessel with quick and highly precise hydrostatic evaluation.
