Normand Seven, delivered to Solstad Offshore in July,
is the largest offshore construction vessel (OCV) ever
built by Ulstein Verft in Norway. It is a Vik-Sanvik
VS 4220 OCV design and was voted "Ship of the Year"
at the 2007 Norshipping Tradeshow in Norway. The vessel
is 130m long and 28m wide with a bridge at a size of
400m2. It is equipped with ROV support on each side,
a 250 tonne crane with heave compensation and has DP
IMO Class III. The vessel is able to perform all types
of installation work on the ocean floor. For the next
17 months, Normand Seven will install flexible riser
and flow line pipes in Brazilian waters on the Petrobras'
project 'Roncadore'.
Autoload
onboard stability software is an advanced loading program
suitable for any vessel type. With over 400 installations
and counting, Autoload has become the loading
software of choice among clients such as BP, Swire Pacific,
Rolls Royce, Statoil and Teekay Shipping. One look at
the Autoload main screen provides the user with
a fast and accurate display of the vessels current stability
status, loads and important margins. The user can make
important decisions, while leaving the mathematical
complexity to the computer. Autoload uses a 3D
model to simulate any current or anticipated loading
condition and enables a user to quickly verify stability,
trim, drafts, and structural strength status. Autoload
is the system you should consider for your loading software
requirements.
