Nile Dutch Africa Lines Buys Autoship’s Stowage Planning System

June 25, 2003

Autoship Systems Corporation (ASC) of Vancouver, Canada is pleased to announce the sale of SPS (Stowage Planning System) to Nile Dutch Africa Line (NDAL) of Rotterdam, The Netherlands. NDAL will use SPS to develop stowage plans for a fleet of eight ships - four RORO, and four container. SPS is an advanced stowage planning system which will be used at NDAL’s head office and throughout their network of agencies.

SPS is based on the total voyage concept, in which the impact of any single change is automatically checked against existing plans for every other port. The system’s EDI (electronic data interface) will communicate with their booking system so that stowage planners have real-time information when developing vessel stowage plans. EDI is also used to communicate with third party booking systems. Included as a module in SPS is Autoload, our DNV and Lloyds type approved hydrostatic engine.

ASC provides SPS for RORO, container, break bulk and project cargo vessels. To ask about purchasing any of our products and services, contact your nearest Autoship System dealer, or sales@autoship.com
